AO Foundation supports Synthes emergency initiative in Haiti

Synthes and AO management and employees are shocked and saddened by the devastation and terrible loss of life caused by the recent earthquake in Haiti. A team of surgeons using Synthes donated material, has already flown three times to Haiti with a Synthes airplane, to provide trauma care to earthquake victims, under very difficult circumstances. Synthes spine equipment has also been delivered to a US hospital ship. The AO Foundation has made a financial donation to contribute to the continuing supply of Synthes medical devices to Haiti.
